I requested for a shower rod to be replaced in September upon a return from a 2 week trip because it had fallen from the bathroom shower walls after about 3.5 years of living there. I am not sure why it fell, but it did and i could not put it back up. Common wear and tear I assume. About 1 month later I was informed via email of a $177 charge that was never discussed with me upon my initial request- $40 for the shower rod and the remainder for the drop off/delivery fee. I could have bought one myself for $30 at Target had I known i would be charged. And then to be told about this charge about 1month later. Why not tell me it will cost X amount of dollars are you ok to proceed? Nope! Sneaky. I spoke to 7 different staff people about this with no resolution. Finally, I spoke to Charlotte who is allegedly the Resident Experience Manager who supposedly advocates for patients. I have lived there 3.5 years, never late on my rent, paid all the time during Covid years and this is how they treat me! So I am willing to walk away from this company who has poor customer service and treats me just like an address number that sends them monthly payment. No decency. Oh, and Charlotte never called me back, day 15 and waiting. Very disappointing resident experience and clearly a money-hungry and unappreciative PM and owner. I do not recommend this property management to anyone, they will not do you justice.

They are abusive. I've lived in their property for one and a half year. Before I left the apartment, my unit has been burglared in the middle of the day. They were part of the problem because they pledged safety when they advertise their property. I felt unsafe after that issue and I had to brake the lease. But they were not understanding and they sent me to the collection for the debt. I don't recommend anyone to live in their property. This is obvious abuse.

Resident here: service advisors never follow through or follow up on any maintenance issue. I've been waiting on essential things to control heating and cooling in my apartment since March, 3 months. They always sound so nice over the phone, but are utterly useless and have an internal system that would be laughed at by chimpanzees. I can't even protest by not paying rent because their app won't let you stop so I need to cancel my debit card. I have never felt like I was taken less seriously.

Not trustworthy at all. This company is a complete scam. Our property was vacant for months resulted a direct loss of over $50k. Numerous prospective tenants were turned away because this company’s reputation. They will be very communicative when signing the lease and ignore you and not providing any real help afterwards. You will stick with them for a long time before you realize things have to move forward.

Edit: Mynd has responded with some platitudes, but they are still holding money that they should have given us months ago. This is not at all resolved, and they are refusing to talk to us. I don't understand how there are any positive reviews here. How is it possible that they have over a 4 star rating when almost every review is awful? I think this rating system may be bogus. I don't think I've ever had a worse customer service experience, and that's saying a lot. We hired Mynd to manage our property. They didn't show up for the initial walk-through, we found our own tenants, and we've had nothing but problems ever since. The air conditioner broke in early summer. Multiple reports were made to Mynd. It took over a week for Mynd to assign someone to come look at it. They sent one email to the tenant, and didn't get a response, likely because they never told the tenant how to access the portal, so no one ever came out. Both we and our tenants called and called for two months before we ever got to talk to someone. We even tried going to their office in person, but of course, security wouldn't let us in. More than two months after the request was submitted, we called our home warranty service (which Mynd should have done first thing) and had it fixed in a few days. Also, we needed some yard maintenance for our super tiny backyard that's mostly concrete, just some beds around the perimeter and a couple of trees. This request also took ages, someone finally showed up and did half the job and never came back, and Mynd charged us $480, just under the $500 limit that would have required Mynd to get our approval before doing work. It normally costs $80 per visit. We set up a meeting to talk with Narali Patel, and she called us once, let the phone ring once or twice, then hung up. We immediately called the office, but she had already left for lunch, even though she had our meeting scheduled during that time. We scheduled another phone call, but it wasn't for another two weeks. When we finally were able to speak to Narali, she said that she discussed our case with the team and our request for a refund was denied. No explanation, no discussion. They also denied a credit for our tenants who unnecessarily spent the entire summer without air conditioning that they were paying for. We asked to speak to someone in management, but of course, we're still waiting. Mynd has literally not done a single thing promised in their contract. This has been so stressful. So, if you want to pay someone else to manage your property, then have to do it all yourself, plus spend time trying to manage the management company, and also lose a bunch of money, then go ahead and use Mynd. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Not the best experience. They promote “stress free”. Unfortunately, we find ourselves doing all the work for them. Takes days if not weeks sometimes to go over our needs for the property they should be managing. Etc.

I could not be happier with the work done by Mynd Management on my mother’s house in Benicia, CA. I am especially impressed with their Regional Construction Manager, Billy Wardlaw. My mother’s house was in disrepair and we needed to either sell it as-is, or renovate it then rent or sell it. Further, I live over 500 miles away, and have a full time job, so I was dreading having to find contractors and keep tabs on their work. I also wanted to limit my trips due to Covid-19. While inquiring about renting it I came across Mynd Management, and to my surprise I learned that they not only manage rental properties, but they also have a construction division that manages renovation jobs. I met with Billy and he provided a proposal and a timeline, and he assured me that he’d personally closely supervise all the work. The proposal sounded too good to be true, so I assumed there might be some cost overruns, or that the quality of work might not be the best. But considering my limited availability, and how reasonable the price was, I decided to proceed. This project included major renovations of both bathrooms, the kitchen, complete replacement of the entire electrical system (new panel, wiring, outlets, etc), installation of dual pane windows, new ceiling lights, wired smoke detectors, interior drywall and floor repair, new drywalling of the garage, interior painting, installation of new flooring throughout, installation of new doors, new appliances, new furnace, landscaping of the front yard (artificial grass and rocks) and backyard, new fence, and tiling of the old brick fireplace. All of this was done to code and inspected by the city. And there was probably more that I’m forgetting about. Billy Wardlaw managed the entire job with minimal involvement on my end. He provided me with weekly updates throughout the project. I let him do most of the decision making with regards to colors, flooring, appliances, etc. I visited the property only once during the entire project. The project was done on time, and on budget. As the renovation neared completion, we decided to sell the property rather than rent it. I found a real estate agent, and he had nothing but praise about the work performed. He said everything he saw was absolutely top notch and fantastic. And we were pleasantly surprised by how much the agent wanted to list it for. Prior to the renovation I had had the property appraised as-is. The price we listed it for was significantly higher than the old appraised value plus the cost of renovation. And it was apparently listed too low, as we ended up getting multiple bids, and within a week of it being listed we sold it for $25,000 over the list price. Big thanks to Mynd Management and Billy Wardlaw. What an amazing job they did!
